(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Mouhannad al-Hussni, head of the SOHR, said that the step was "positive and in the right direction."
He however said it should be completed by lifting travel ban on all activists, calling on the Syrian authorities to release all political detainees and permit peaceful demonstration.
Al-Hussni was among other activists banned from traveling.
Anwar al-Bunni, a lawyer and a human rights activist, said his name wasn't on the new list. He said the ban is "meaningless and all Syrians should enjoy the freedom of movement and traveling."
Earlier this month, Syrian Vice-President Farouk al-Sharaa announced that the Syrian leadership has issued a decision not to prevent the travel of opposition figures and to lift all restrictions on their movement.
